Murder! Mayhem! Actors! My Name is Mudd is a tall-tale of murder, men’s headwear and the events surrounding the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Told largely from the perspective of John Wilkes Booth, this hilarious kaleidoscopic comedy catapults between slapstick and a poignancy that belies its glib nature. The assassination is re-enacted by a troupe of grotesque actors spouting little known facts, profane lies and hilarious observations. These crude mechanicals, in their desire to entertain and educate, shed light and pathos on the tragic killing of the man who graces the penny.

Reader Recommended! "A cunningly weird story... Loosely connected vignettes and monologues—lends a campfire-tale air that suits the blending of certain fact and outright lie."
